3-D Drawing is easy if you Pay Attention to the “ITTY BITTY DOT”
If you have already seen the 34 Amazing Art Exercises and Games from a previous blog post,this video will demonstrate how to take an imaginative approach to some of the ideas you have learned from that post. It is quite simple once you master the simple concept of converging lines. Pay close attention to the start of the video as I draw the Zig Zag shape.
If this shape is not drawn in somewhat the same fashion as mine you may have a little trouble. Find the ‘secret’ of this 3-D trick and you can really have fun with it. It’s the secret of the ‘ITTY BITTY DOT’. Study the 3-D drawing below and then watch and draw with the video.
See how the line CONVERGE towards the bottom of the page … they are going towards the secret dot.
If you wish you can put a little dot at the bottom of the paper and make all your lines connect to it.
SEE IT THEN DRAW IT !!
Even a simple 3-D drawing of a helmet uses the Itty Bitty Dot. Can you SEE IT ! Almost all the lines are moving towards it and converging at that secret DOT. Drawing 3-D is easy if you know the secret of the dot.
